You must be at least 17 years old and hold a valid Private or Commercial Pilot Certificate.
The rating allows you to safely and confidently operate multi-engine aircraft, expanding your flying opportunities into corporate aviation, charter operations, and advanced training programs. It also builds experience that is highly valuable for commercial pilot careers.
Training is conducted under Part 61 and follows a “train-to-proficiency” approach. While most students complete the rating in about 10 flight hours and one month, the exact timeline depends on your skill level and flight frequency.
Like all pilot certificates and ratings, your privileges are maintained by completing a flight review every 24 calendar months and staying proficient in multi-engine operations.
